Networks & connectivity

Connect mainland China and Hong Kong sites within your wider APAC network. Express Projects helps assess carrier MPLS or private connectivity options, coordinate site delivery and integrate the selected service. Availability, service levels and provider responsibilities are confirmed in the proposal.

What to prepare

  • Site addresses and local access contacts
  • Traffic, bandwidth, application and resilience requirements
  • Current topology, provider arrangements and change windows

What you receive

  • Carrier-service assessment and delivery dependencies
  • Approved routing, handoff and change plan
  • Application test results and support responsibility record

Separate business, guest and device access. Check Wi-Fi coverage, addressing and the applications that depend on each connection.

Conceptual planning view. Final architecture is agreed for the project.

Assess the carrier service and local access

Share site addresses, required bandwidth, application flows and resilience needs. Check carrier coverage, last-mile access, building entry and handoff requirements at both ends. Compare the proposed service scope and provider conditions before agreeing an order or installation date.

Integrate routing, traffic priorities and backup

Plan the connection to your routers, firewalls and regional network. Agree route exchange, segmentation, QoS classes and any backup path supported by the selected service. Approve configurations, change windows and rollback steps before introducing production traffic.

Test applications and agree ongoing ownership

Validate agreed application paths, latency, packet loss and failover against the acceptance plan. Retain topology, configuration and test records. Define monitoring, incident contacts and carrier escalation separately from internal IT duties. Any service-level commitment comes from the agreed provider and support contracts.

Questions before you start

Plan China–Hong Kong MPLS and private carrier connectivity: site assessment, provider coordination, routing integration and application acceptance.

Does MPLS include the local connection to each building?

Last-mile access and building entry depend on the carrier offer and site conditions. Confirm the scope, feasibility and lead times for both locations before ordering.

Can this connect to our wider APAC network?

Yes. The design can include agreed regional network paths, including Indian or other Asian sites. Coverage, routing and support scope are assessed for each location.

Is a managed service included automatically?

No. Agree monitoring, configuration changes, incident handling and carrier escalation explicitly. Provider service levels and Express Projects responsibilities remain separately defined.
