Explore the project structure

Confirm the rack layout, equipment dimensions, power feeds, cooling requirements and cable routes with the facility owner. Check receiving access, lifting arrangements, installation approvals and the application dependencies. Your project plan names the owner of each prerequisite, including specialist facility work.
Install and connect in an agreed sequence
Plan racking, asset identification, patching and server or network integration against the approved design. Confirm who supplies rails, cables and licenses. Changes to equipment or ports need approval before installation continues.
Test the installation and hand it over
Agree checks for connections, management access and the included systems. Record exceptions and assign follow-up owners. Handover includes rack and port records, configuration references and maintenance responsibilities; ongoing operations can be scoped separately.
