Follow the shipment and office workflows to understand what the IT environment must support. Express Projects connects warehouse and office networks, shared services, remote access and recovery planning with the relevant application owners. The project separates infrastructure delivery from specialist software and device responsibilities.
What to prepare
- Warehouse, office and remote-user workflows and locations
- Applications, devices, wireless needs and provider connections
- Interruption priorities, application owners and change constraints
What you receive
- Site/application dependency map
- Network and access scope with provider boundaries
- Recovery priorities, test evidence and handover records
Follow the operating workflow
Identify where teams receive, record, process and exchange business information. Map warehouses, offices and remote users to the applications they depend on. Device movement and local working areas should inform wireless and network requirements rather than be assumed from a floor plan.
Design the connected-site boundaries
Separate user devices, shared services, guest connections and any specialist equipment by agreed access needs. Record the carrier, application-provider and customer responsibilities for each connection. A network project does not automatically include business-software development or changes to equipment control.
Prepare for interruption and handover
Define which business functions matter first during a connection or system failure. Review backup and restore requirements with the application owners, then agree tests and escalation. Handover should identify the installed design, remaining dependencies and the team that operates it.
