Approved scope

Confirm rack dimensions, power allocation, cable paths and access before installation. Facility and specialist-contractor tasks have separate owners.

Conceptual planning view. Final architecture is agreed for the project.

Give the visit a defined task

Describe the rack, device, ports and expected action. Work may include patching, approved component swaps, visual inspection or inventory. Identify what must remain untouched and who can approve a deviation from the instructions.

Prepare access and remote coordination

Confirm site permission, escort rules, tools, spares and the remote contact available during the visit. Availability and timing are assessed for each request. A scheduled task is different from unrestricted access or an emergency-response commitment.

Return useful evidence to the remote team

Agree photographs, labels, serial numbers or task records where site rules allow. Let the remote owner verify the result before closing the work. Unclear instructions, restricted access or unexpected conditions should trigger an agreed escalation.

Questions before you start

Get approved on-site IT tasks carried out for your remote team, from rack and cable work to equipment checks and completion records.

Can you change a configuration during the visit?

Only if the scope and authorization explicitly include that change. A hardware task does not give permission to alter network or server settings.

Is immediate attendance guaranteed?

No. Site access, location, timing and available arrangements are confirmed for the individual request.
