Make each workload’s location an operating decision. Express Projects plans the connections between on-site and cloud environments, including access, protection, monitoring and provider dependencies. Your team receives a design and responsibility model that explains how the environments will work together.
What to prepare
- Workload map, data locations and integration dependencies
- On-site environments, cloud accounts and existing support boundaries
- Access requirements, cost priorities and recovery objectives
What you receive
- Workload-placement and cross-environment dependency decisions
- Network, identity and protection architecture
- Operating, cost-review and recovery responsibility matrix
Explore the project structure
Place each workload using its dependencies, data needs and operating model. Account boundaries and regional availability need their own checks.
Conceptual planning view. Final architecture is agreed for the project.Choose placement for each workload
Review application dependencies, capacity, data location, licensing and provider constraints. Compare on-site and cloud placement without assuming every workload should move. Mainland China and global environments require separate review of accounts, regions and available services.
Design the connections and controls
The conceptual architecture links workload locations through defined network and identity services. Scope secure access, permissions, logging and backup at each layer. Provider-specific limits and integration prerequisites should remain visible rather than hidden behind a common diagram.
Operate across clear boundaries
Assign resource monitoring, cost reviews, patching, incidents and recovery to named owners. Document where one team’s responsibility ends and a provider’s begins. Accept each environment and the connecting paths before introducing a shared change or support routine.
